Skidding Crash Fatal to Driver
Farwell, Jan 15 A man tentatively identified as George Swear was killed in a highway crash five miles west of Farwell on Highway 60. A 1936 Buick coupe bearing New Mexico plate 73 108 overturned three times and landed on the Santa Fe railroad right of way. Witness Johnnie Hughes of Mexico said the car slid on a wet pavement and he saw it leave the highway after meeting it while driving west. State police were checking ownership to confirm identification.
