John Reeder aged 26 and Collin Jones 25 of Austin were critically injured when their single engine two seat plane crashed ten miles west of Austin yesterday afternoon. Both UT students were extracted from the wreckage and taken to Brackenridge Hospital. Reeder showed an upper skull fracture and was listed in critical condition. They were co owners of the plane and had recently purchased it.

Roaming Bull Captured By Rope After Rampage in New Jersey
In West Paterson on January 14 a large bull belonging to Reuben Rosenbloom escaped its barn, gored a farm employee, and charged toward the road. A bus driver swerved and the bull smashed a vehicle fender before fleeing into the hills. Police and farmers pursued, then used a cow on a rope to lure and trap the bull, ending its chase as it returned to the barn.
