Fair Park to Erect Three New Buildings at Tri-State Fair
Potter County commissioners voted to hire an engineer and issue bids for three new steel Quonset buildings at Tri-State Fair Park before the 1947 fair set for Sept 22 to 27. The project includes a 40 000 square foot block costing over 100000 and an 18000 square foot addition to the automobile building costing about 65000. Largest structure will be a 20000 square foot merchants building with two 10000 square foot buildings for rabbit poultry and industry. Livestock facilities will be repaired with livestock buildings deferred to 1948. Jay Taylor said exhibitors will bring stock if new buildings are guaranteed next year.
