An army aviator piloting through foggy weather diverted to Ringgold in Montague County Texas. Lieut Marion Huggins signaled he was lost at 8 35 PM and had about fifteen minutes of fuel left. Fulton Mo January 13 officers tentatively identified a man found frozen to death near Kingdom City as Thomas Bridges 76 of Rensselaer Indiana. A 16 year old mother sobbed over her dead eight month old son Wesley Odell after he rolled from a bed into a tub of clothes and water. Neighbors and a landlady described the tragedy in a Amaroillo home as the father, Lewis McManus, worked a W P A road job twenty miles away. The infant would have been eight months old today. The fire department attempted artificial respiration but the child did not recover. The couple married July 29 1935 and this is their first sorrow since then.
