Aged Man Hit By Car in Amarillo Recovery Expected
About 70 year old F. G. Langstaff was struck at Fourth and Buchanan by a car driven by Mrs. W. B. Gilbert. He suffered head lacerations a broken leg and unconsciousness delayed but doctors expect recovery. West Texas Gas Buys Site for Large Gasoline Plant
The West Texas Gas company bought a site nine miles northeast of Amarillo in section 35, block B-2, A. B. and M. for a large absorbtion plant to be built in expandable units. The first unit may exceed 550000 dollars and will be modern, extracting natural gasoline from gas to feed the main South Plains line being extended from Lubbock to Midland, bringing another oil field industry near Amarillo.

Robbers slain in West Texas bank gun battle
Sheriff Barfield and deputies killed two bank robbers during an early morning raid at the Rankin Texas bank. The younger man fired first. both assailants died within minutes. A $5,000 reward is authorized for each dead robber, and fingerprints were sent to identify the pair.
