Four Thousand Troops Scale Mexican Mountains in Hunt for Twenty Bandits
Mexico City dispatch reports four thousand federal troops sweeping Michoacan Jalisco and Guerrero in pursuit of twenty bandits who boarded a Guadalajara to Mexico City train and slaughtered guards and passengers. The raiders killed many, looted the town of Yarecuaro, and burned the train, with at least fifty dead estimated. G M Wynkoop of Berryville Virginia, aboard the Pullman, described the massacre in graphic terms and said foreigners largely escaped harm though robbed. The bandits fled with loot after wrecking the train and signaling the engine in Yurecuaro, while authorities vow to recover or kill them.

Confessions Reported in Osage Killings Case

Far Reaching Developments Seen in Panhandle Oil Field
Marland oil officials toured the Panhandle visiting fields north of Amarillo and the Hutchinson and Carson county areas. They arrived in their special car the Ponca City and left for Los Angeles for the National Petroleum Institute. insiders expect rapid, large-scale development soon though no plans were announced.
