Memphis Bride Hurt as Auto Overturns

Mrs. F. E. Stanford, Memphis bride, suffered a broken collar bone and her sister-in-law Miss Marjorie Stanford of Los Angeles were injured when their car overturned near Electra. Both were brought to a local hospital. Mrs. Stanford had married the day before in Memphis and formerly lived in Fort Worth.

Plane Crash Kills Three Near Marshall Texas

Two men and a 16 year old boy died when a Wedell Williams airliner crashed eight miles west of Marshall Texas after taking off from Dallas en route to New Orleans. Pilot Arthur C. Brown co pilot Errett Williams both of New Orleans perished along with Robert Wilson of Fort Worth. The crash site was in dense fog as witnesses reported the plane flying low before the motor sputtered and the craft failed to gain altitude.

Legion Group Meets for Member Campaign in Amarillo

Robbers Break Into School Office At Senior High

Robbers entered the office of Supt W A McIntosh at Senior high Tuesday night tampered with a steel cabinet knocked the knob off the safe and left. They broke into the boiler and manual training rooms obtained tools and forced a door into the office but touched no desks and no other offices show signs of entry. They seemed to seek money but did not open the safe.

Murray to order four state department audits on taking office

Oklahoma City January 7 Governor elect W H Murray announced audits will be ordered in four departments the State Board of Affairs School Land Commission Fish and Game Department and University Hospital to be discussed in his first legislative message. He also plans court actions in the Tom Slick inheritance case and may seek to curb the attorney general's powers.
