Officers fired after Rocco fired four shots at Trooper James H Smith. the shot struck him in the nose. The case ties to a staged camera plot and a Christmas wrapped package used to deliver a weapon in Times Square. The former wife Olga survived an attack that same day. a young woman involved said Rocco claimed to be an insurance investigator and described the crime as part of a larger plan.
