The UIL State Executive Committee ruled Caprock High School and three Amarillo players violated the amateur rule by receiving a free meal, resulting in forfeiture of eligibility for 12 months. The District 3-AAA A committee had previously ruled in good faith. a 30 day grace period defining special consideration was adopted for future seasons.

Senate votes to keep Schnabel as secretary despite indictment
