Rangers Probe Brutality at Gatesville Reform School

State and federal investigators took over a probe into alleged brutality at Gatesville reform schools after surprise visits found boys beaten. Five boys were polygraphed in Waco while a panel prepares a critical report on Mountain View. Findings were sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI for action.

Hereford Pilot Critically Injured In Plane Crash

A 28 year old Hereford man L Ray Palvadore suffered head and leg injuries when his two passenger plane struck power and telephone lines 10 miles north and four miles east of Hereford. He received treatment at Deaf Smith County Hospital then Northwest Texas Hospital Amarillo and remained in critical condition. The Civil Air Patrol owned aircraft was demolished.
