Rites for Pampa Pioneer Set
Mrs. Lina Schneider 74 wife of the late Alex Schneider died at 11 30 AM in her suite at the Schneider Hotel. Funeral Friday at 10 AM from First Methodist Church with Bishop Seaman Rev Snell and Rev Boshen officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery. Surviving two daughters a son a sister four grandchildren and one great grand child. Born in Rheinfelden Switzerland she came to America at 16 and lived in Mobeetie Lefors White Deer Creek and LeFors before moving to Pampa in 1911. The Schneider Hotel became a Southwest landmark for home cooked meals and later the new Schneider Hotel was built in 1927.
