Train Slay Aboard Sled Kills Ten Children In Ohio Field Scene
A New York Central passenger train struck a tractor drawn bob sled killing ten farm children from three families at a grade crossing in Archbold Ohio. Two more children were seriously injured while driver Jessie Wyse and son John escaped. The Chicagoan train continued to Chicago after a 57 minute delay. Burglars Carry Off Safe From Furr Food Store
Burglars broke into Furr Food Store No. B at 318 West Sixteenth and carried away a 250 pound concrete encased safe containing between 3500 and 4000 dollars.
