Theatus Lee Spencer, six months old, died when a gun leaning against a wall exploded after he knocked it over while left alone at home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Spences in Waxahachie.

Carl Wood, eight, was fatally stabbed after a poker game in Jayton Texas early today. Authorities seek a Black man described as a participant who took all the money and fled, pursued by Wood. A search party formed near the scene. Wood’s body was found in a cotton field five miles northwest of Jayton.
Calvin White a 16 year old youth lost with another companion in a Mount Hood blizzard was found by a search party led by Earl Hammond. He had sheltered under a log waiting for the storm to end and was brought to Portland by his rescuers in a telephone report from Mount Hood.

Fred Calvert, shot and seriously wounded, remains in Saint Anthony's hospital. Parks claims wife and five children live near Wichita Falls and denies acquaintance with Calvert. The Calvert family signs the dead woman's death certificate. burial plans in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
J A Shorty Gowen 72 longtime executive committeeman of the Stone Cutters Association of North America died in Fort Worth on January 3. He was not a charter member of the union and was a prominent labor figure in the industry.
