Robbery at Fair Theatre Baffles Officers
Eighteen hours after the Fair Theatre robbery officers had no solid leads. Burglars entered via a skylight between midnight and 7 30 am, forced a safe, stole about 1800 in cash and silver, and escaped through a rear door. They left tools including brace bits chisels and a new hammer traced to Amarillo Hardware. A hardware store employee could not identify two men bought the hammer. Suspects held at the courthouse and questioned, but no arrests.
