Sun and Sand to Open 100 Acre Park May First
Sun and Sand Corporation led by Gene Hames of Fort Worth and Gordon Heath of Lubbock plans a 100 acre outdoor amusements center just south of the Canyon expressway with construction to begin Feb 15 and an opening set for May 1. The site features a four acre sandy bottom pool with a giant six lane water slide and 13 foot diving depth, plus 2000 square feet of sandy beach.
