A 17 year old Olean High School senior identified as Anthony Barbaro shot and killed three people and wounded six others from a third floor position during a holiday closure. He was captured after police ringed the building with six officers and an armored National Guard vehicle. The dead included a gas company employee a civilian driver and a school custodian. Firemen were among the wounded by gunfire and glass. Police recovered rifles and described a smoke filled scene with tear gas used during the raid.
