Scientists Discuss Modifying Einstein Theory At Meeting
Kansas City December 20 Observations spanning five years and emotional testimony at Mount Wilson led Dr Dayton Miller of Case School of Applied Science and president of the American Physical Society to report experiments suggesting ether drift with Earth at the observatory about ten kilometers per second He argued tests are needed for two assumptions a solar system motion of at least 200 kilometers per second toward dragons middle and that the Earth drags the ether He noted earlier negative experiments by Morley and Miller and said the 1919 eclipse results had renewed interest in relativity tests The discussion continued at the annual convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Science with further remarks to follow on page two.
