Dr. M. L. Gibson a Childress chiropractor and Jack Billingsley 25 were drowned while duck hunting at Lake Childress about two miles south of Carey. The boat capsized as one man reached for a duck. Marvin King swam ashore to raise the alarm and 150 to 200 rescuers searched with drag hooks. Gibson leaves a widow. Billingsley was unmarried.
