Gas Fumes Fatal to Couple Here
Mr and Mrs Lester L Barnes were found dead in the Panhandle Specialty Company office from monoxide poisoning. Barnes, a salesman, was last seen 3:30 p.m. and the couple’s bodies were discovered by Mrs Brothers at 7:20 p.m. The building at 202 West Tenth Avenue, no ventilation, with partially eaten sandwiches and drinks suggesting a possible accidental inhalation. Coroner’s inquest pending. relatives contacted in California and Ennis, Texas. The couple resided at 3902 Polk Street and leave two young daughters.
