85 Bales Picked Off Cotton Farm Near Littlefield
Special to The News from Littlefield on December 18 reports J. B. Moore a central Texas farmer who bought land two years ago has already picked 85 bales of cotton in 1925 from his farm southwest of Littlefield and expects 20 more. He notes 105 bales from one farm prove the freeze did not wipe out all cotton. Worthington, from a quarter section farm six miles south, has 60 bales, with many similar cases nearby. Farmers with sod land or late crops fared worse, while well prepared land yielded strong returns, underscoring farming’s potential with proper methods.
