Thirty nine head of Prince Domino Herefords offered by H A Talley of Miami were sold at the Amarillo Fat Stock Show pavilion for an average of 324.89 a head. The sale grossed 11355 with eleven bulls at 403 each and 28 females at 246.79. John Henry Deane Jr. of Lamesa bought the top bull at 1500. Princess Domino 8th sold for 300 to George Nance of Canyon.

Fire destroys Higgins grain elevator after explosion
Higgins December 8 Special report a fire of undetermined origin destroyed the J. T. Patton elevator following an explosion that shook every house in town. Discovered at 9 45 and burned to the ground in 15 minutes. The elevator belonged to the Henry Frass estate and was managed by J. T. Patton for the past year. Total damage about six thousand dollars with little grain stored.
Five Convicts Sentenced to Death Over Folsom Prison Break
Five Folsom prison inmates Ed Davis Wesley Eady Fred Barnes Robert Lee Cannon and Albert Kessel were condemned to death in California's lethal gas chamber for roles in a Sept. 19 prison break attempt that killed Warden Clarence A.
