Visitors Thrilled By Vast Exhibit Of Hobbies Here

About 1,000 hobby enthusiasts viewed over 90 exhibits worth $50,000 at the San Jacinto Youth Center second annual Hobby Show. Highlights included Jack Shiverdaker’s laminated wood table, Jim Argo’s puppet collection, Roy Taylor’s antique sheet music, and Mrs. Jim Pierce’s Japanese art group. Exhibitors hailed from Amarillo and surrounding towns. Epilson Sigma Alpha Sorority sponsored the event to fund hearing aids for young children.

Scrap Rubber Shipped to Red China, O'Conor Says

Senator O'Conor charged that 10.5 million pounds of US scrap rubber have been sent to Communist China since the Korean War began.
