Assault trial under way in Willis Roberts case
Testimony began in the criminal assault trial of Willis Roberts before Judge Henry S. Bishop in Amarillo. Jurors were selected after a long venire with a 40 member pool. Prosecution introduced four witnesses including the victim’s mother and sister and two tourist camp proprietors. Descriptions of a man with a cowboy hat a blonde woman and a girl were linked to an incident at local camps on November 11. The defense awaits further testimony as court adjourned until Tuesday morning.

Pampa Negro Porter Receives Reward After Robbery Shootout

Needy Workmen Begin Digging Park Tree Holes

Claude youth Walter McGowan eighteen was brought to St Anthony s hospital after a 22 rifle discharged while being removed from a truck at his father s farm nine miles southwest of Claude.
