DALLAS Aug 30. City detective D L Jones stopped an attempted dynamite bombing of a South Dallas barber shop. Five sticks of dynamite were hurled through a window as a nearby resident heard the blast and alerted officers. Jones stamped out the sparks, tore out the fuse and caps, sparing the owner from a likely extortion attempt over recently posted rent or sut rates.
