After two days of inquiry the Potter county grand jury has taken no action in the A. D. Payne bomb murder case. Indictment is expected soon with only Verona Thompson among witnesses reported as material. The jury heard few witnesses, mainly peace officers, and will consider two Borger hardware store employees tied to the dynamite. Payne provided a statement to West Texas State Teachers College professor J L Duflot, who will not testify but seeks to study the case for instruction.
