Porter Underwood Dies Headed for Funeral Rites
Porter Richmond Underwood a prominent Amarillo attorney died at a local hospital after weeks of illness. He was 54 born August 18 1889 in Jack County Texas and practiced law in Amarillo since 1915 after UT LLB 1914. He served as Potter County attorney 1918 1920 and held leadership roles in the Potter County Bar Association Lions Club YMCA and other civic groups. He is survived by his wife a son a daughter a granddaughter two brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements are pending.
