John B. Connally, a Republican for just three years, faced sustained applause as he attacked Democrats and criticized Carter. He noted the Democratic party’s decades of influence and urged delegates to back Republicans in the House and Senate to preserve balance and freedom.
Amarillo City Commission approved a new ambulance fee schedule bringing Metropolitan Ambulance Service into compliance with a rate ordinance.
