Ward Line Officer Found Hanged in Port Arthur Park
An unemployed ship crewman, Gabriel A. Larsen, 41, hanged himself with a trunk strap in a Port Arthur park near Main Street. He carried pictures of the ill fated Morro Castle, wore a Ward Line sea officer cap, and left a note bequeathing his body to science. Larsen was born in Norway on October 30, 1893.

Equipment needs for Conchas Dam road work announced

Six More Women Jailed for Contempt in Dallas Riots
Six additional garment workers were jailed in Dallas for contempt of court after rioting last week when four women were stripped and six others partially disrobed. Judge Towne Young previously jailed three, fined $25 each, then released them after they vowed to obey injunctions against strikers.
