Amarillo residents used water at near capacity over the weekend as city officials reported. A total of 14,400,000 gallons were pumped into the mains for consumption Saturday and similar use was noted Sunday. Maintenance men at a city pump station said reserve supply was being tapped due to continued excessive demand.
