Policeman Involved in High Speed Gun Battle Near Boise City

Boise City Oklahoma August 15 A one hour chase at speeds over 100 miles per hour ended with a gun battle by Dalhart and Boise City officers. Policeman Jerry Gentry was wounded by a bullet through the windshield but released after treatment. A five state search continues for a red and white 1957 car occupied by two men. Police pursued the fleeing vehicle from Boise City to near Dalhart before it escaped.
