Egyptian Hijacker Seized After Brindisi Refueling Stop
An Egyptian teen hijacker on an Air France jumbo jet, after threatening to blow up the plane, was overpowered by police at Brindisi airport during a refueling halt. Tarek E [Sayed Khater], 19, Cairo, was captured as passengers and crew remained unharmed. The incident began after the aircraft had flown from Paris to Cairo via Nice and Benghazi, then Corfu before landing with minimal fuel.
