Drowning Victim's Body Recovered Near Hereford

The nearly blind Summerfield man Paul Lance, 22, was found in Buffalo Lake after a night-long search by more than 100 people from Randall and Potter counties. He disappeared during a boat ride with cousin Eugene Clark, 15, when the motor stalled and Lance fell overboard. Man chases car thief after church parking lot theft

Bruce Cannon, a meat cutter at Veterans Hospital, chased a thief who drove off in his gray 1948 Ford from Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at Sixth and Fillmore. With friend Ted Gamill, Cannon pursued through Hamlet Addition streets, the thief attempting to shake them as they kept the chase alive to prevent further damage.

Fire crews face thick smoke at Sears Roebuck store
