Corn Yield Figures Awaited

Washington AP Secretary Earl L Butz told US grain traders to refrain from further negotiations with the Soviet Union until the final corn harvest is clearer. The USDA estimated a record 6.86 billion bushels, 26 percent above 1974 but 3 percent below last month’s forecast, with soybeans at 1.458 billion and a 2.14 billion bushel wheat crop noted.

Growers Seek Moratorium On Domestic Sales Too

Leo Witkowski president of the Texas Wheat Producers Association calls for a total moratorium on sales by producers into the grain marketing system.
