A Tucumcari man, Doyle Cantrell, about 40, was seriously injured in a two car collision 25 miles north of Clovis on Rt. 8. He was taken to Clovis Memorial Hospital with a broken leg and head and internal injuries. Mrs. Lucille Poteet of Grady had minor injuries and her four children were uninjured. Police say Cantrell’s car struck her vehicle as she began a left turn.

A Brinks cash bag valued at 28,809 dollars and 85 cents vanished after pickup at the Westgate National City Bank branch. The bag, mostly cold cash, was en route to Brinks storage in downtown Cleveland but has not been recovered, police report says. Gordon E. Hall, Brinks general manager, notes the loss in the incident dated Tuesday.
In Portales New Mexico at 2 30 p m a Santa Fe passenger train collided with a gravel truck injuring engineer George Gunner of Carlsbad. The eight passenger train suffered heavy damage while the truck was severed from its trailer. driver Charles Robinson of Portales was uninjured.
Floyd E. Dominy head of the U S Bureau of Reclamation arrives in Amarillo for a weekend focusing on the Canadian River dam and aqueduct project potential. He meets CAMWA mayors and Region 5 staff to discuss bureau activities in 17 western states and the San Juan-Chama project.
The United Fund in Shamrock Conference Room aims for 648600 this fall after adding the Potter County Red Cross. Amarillo's 13 agencies budget 445981 this year with about 540195 requested by agencies for 1951. A new budget method asks agencies to present Minimum Necessary and Desirable figures before October goal finalization.
