Thousands gathered in rain at Krome to honor the wife of the president. Mourners paid tribute as ceremony honored the couple and reflected on public service and national respect.
Mrs Woodrow Wilson wife of the president was buried at Myrtle Hill cemetery in Rome Georgia amid heavy rain. The president and daughters watched with emotion as the procession moved to the church and grave. Four hours later the presidential party departed for Washington.
In New York on August 11 officials reported no new developments in defense lines and a series of conferences on general conditions. The text notes that the initiative for normal business resumption must come from abroad as money loans ranged from six to eight percent and higher.
