Aug 10 report notes grave fears Parker Cramer and Oliver Pacquette may have been blown out to sea after a plane landed safely in calm water Copenhagen. Danish seaplanes and a squadron searched the Kattegat as experts hoped for a rescue.
The Associated Press reports Parker Cramer and his radio operator are overdue at Copenhagen while Lisandro Garay is missed near Tegucigalpa during a non stop New York to Tegucigalpa flight. Lindberghs prep a jump from Point Barrow to Nome. Herndon and Pangborn in Tokyo work to resolve issues with Japanese authorities for a Seattle flight.
Parker Cramer, American airman, is presumed caught in a North Sea storm after a search spanning from Norway to Copenhagen. Danish and Norwegian planes scoured the seas while a Lufthansa air cruiser supported the operation and American emissaries thanked Danish authorities for their efforts.

Identified victims include Bruno Woods and wife Helen with six month old son David, and James J Rutkowski of Milwaukee with wife Martha and their two children Henry ten and Dolores seven.

An apparent incendiary fire at 2109 Roberts Street caused about 150 damage to a house late last night. Gasoline was poured over floors and furnishings and ignited in at least six locations, authorities say. The family had just left town, and police are seeking those responsible.

New York police urged Vincent Coll to surrender or be captured dead or alive after a July 28 gang shooting in Little Italy that killed Michael Vengalli and wounded four children. Coll, 21, was sighted on a subway but disappeared before officers could reach him, and authorities say he may identify the four men in the death car.

Louis Whisenhunt, 22, jailed on murder charges for fatally shooting Henry F. Howie, 42, a policeman. Howie died near a tourist camp while en route to a trouble call with witness J. D. York, who reported threats. A posse and airplane aided the manhunt. Whisenhunt was arrested two hours later on Scenic Mountain. Howie, who moved to Big Spring from Kaufman County three years ago, leaves a widow and five children.
Missouri Valley Pipeline Company has bought 15 miles of right of way in southeastern Barton County to link its 26 inch line from Skellytown Texas to Minneapolis and St Paul. The route will connect the Skellytown Mullinville leg with Clifton Kansas to Mason City Iowa.
Virgil F. Mann, a Rock Island engineer, was stabbed during a holdup on North Polk Street. Police have no suspects as Mann, recovering, was sent home from St. Anthony's Hospital after the assault and robbery of $7.
Mayor Ernest Thompson argues no conflict with Southwestern Bell over telephone rates insisting cuts are needed now. He notes residents would cancel phones if rates stay high while other costs drop. Bell’s district manager G N Halley declines to comment as city officials plan further talks.
