West Texans exchange fire over yearlong dispute
In Sweetwater Texas two elderly men W S Reed 65 and J D Ware 70 fought with automatic rifles near their Camp Springs homes. Both men were shot twice and died. Reed reportedly told officers the story before dying. The quarrel arose over labor by a Ware son and escalated after both men began carrying arms. Reed leaves eight children and a wife while Ware leaves sixteen.
