Seven Teenagers Die In Train Collision Near Shallowater
Seven Lamb County teenagers en route to a church picnic were killed when a passenger train struck their stalled car about two miles northwest of Shallowater. Five teens from Olton and two from Springlake died. one escapee, Jimmy Lawson, 18, survived with shock. The No. 53 Santa Fe train from Clovis to Houston struck the car, which had stalled on tracks two miles from town.

AF Sergeant Dies in Crash Near Amarillo
An Air Police Sergeant S. Sgt. Leon Rains died after his car collided head on with a truck on US 287 near Memorial Park Cemetery. Eyewitness First Lt.
