A four year old girl, Jetty Joyce Urquhart, was killed and five others injured in a daytime two car collision at North Madison Street and North West Seventh Avenue. The Urquhart family and a taxi passenger were treated at St Anthony’s Hospital. Betty Joyce Urquhart's funeral arrangements are pending. survivors include parents, a brother, a sister, and grandparents.

Andrew Guyett 71 died at Northwest Texas Hospital from injuries suffered when struck by a car driven by Virgil B. Adams of Clarendon on US Highway 287 near Star Night Club. Former Woodward Oklahoma resident. survived by son A Guyett Sr of Amarillo and another son Clarence Guyett of Long Beach California, plus two grandchildren. Funeral plans pending at Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home. Guyett was Catholic and had eye injuries from a Woodward tornado months earlier.

Nancy Perini four year old niece of Lou Perini vanished from the nearby summer home. Deputy fire chief George Ferris said the body was found at 6:20 AM in four feet of water about 25 feet from the end of a beach patio leading from the Perini residence.
