Amarillo Stock Rolls to XIT Corral for Dalhart Trip

A cattle train with 500 to 1,000 Amarillo citizens will depart the Fort Worth and Denver station at 8 a.m. headed for Dalhart to join the XIT Reunion. Regulatio n cattle cars carry guards hosts and 25 top hands will escort the herd. The return trip leaves Dalhart at 11 30 p.m. with arrival in Amarillo around 1 30 a.m. Passenger trains remain available at 7 50 p.m. for those not riding the cattle train.

Dalhart XIT Reunion Celebrates Old Paint Parade

About 20 000 people gathered for the XIT Reunion in Dalhart on August 8 as a crowd cheered Jess Morris and others riding paint horses in a parade recalling the old west. The day featured a large rodeo with 72 contestants and humorous bits from clowns and locals.
