A 10 day 2000 mile tour of the Great Plains by federal and state agricultural officials is announced. Edwin R. Henson coordinates the trip with M. bs. Wilson of Washington leading. General Rains Sweep Plains Across Panhandle
A broad rain belt moved south and southeast through the Panhandle after noon and last night, crossing Kansas and Oklahoma before reaching Texas. Amarillo lay near the western edge with light showers and about a half inch of rain, while Spearman reported three and a half inches in the afternoon and English Airport area saw a bit more rainfall.

XIT Special Rolls Today to Dalhart for NIT Reunion
About three to four hundred Amarilloans board a special train at the Fort Worth and Denver depot bound for Dalhart for the big NIT reunion. The 8:20 am departure and 1 am return tonight marked by Milton Cox Bruce Autry and Clay Thornton. Tickets at the station are 1.80 for round trip amid a business and civic delegation.
