Italian F-14 submarine crew perishes after Adriatic rescue
The Italian submarine F-14 with 31 crew died from poisonous gas after surfacing from a collision 34 hours earlier in the Adriatic. Salvage crews, aided by destroyer Giuseppe Missori, found the stern flooded and all hands dead as fear and hazardous air halted reentry efforts. Abandoned Plane Salvaged by Ship
The freighter Valtrato rescued the Dornier-Napier aircraft of Capt. Frank Courtney and his three crew after it was forced down at sea last Thursday. Giant Yellowstone geyser discovered in Fairy Creek basin
