A man was seriously burned around 1 30 p m Friday in a fire at Brasher Oil Co Canyon that destroyed a 7000 gallon butane transport truck and three storage tanks. The incident was reported in Our Town Arapahoe on page 4.

Vice President Hubert Humphrey, in Chicago for an All-Star Browns game speech, mocked the Vikings for a 1960s playoff flip that kept them from Miami. He said Van Brocklin earned “a dozen two headed coins” and drew a parallel to Washington Redskins’ 22-year playoff drought.
Officers report Cross came alone to Dallas DPS HQ to give a statement described as normal and sane by Lt. George Phifer. Garrison refused to reveal motive or exact location of the killings citing uncertainty over Texas Code of Criminal Procedure rules on media release. Cross is said to be Fort Worth area resident and son of a chain.
