Tennessee Democrats renominated liberal Sen Estes Kefauver for a third term, defeating Judge Andrew T Taylor a segregationist. Final tabulations from 2 153 of 2 591 precincts show Kefauver 359 973 to Taylor 174 045 with Kefauver carrying Shelby County and other regions.
Premier Moise Tshombe warned UN troops would not arrive Saturday while Ralph Bunche denied promises and said he would report back to Dag Hammarskjold. The crisis continued as Bunche handled the mediation, with Tananga tensions mounting and no immediate resolution.
The Ada group rates Kennedy highly in 1958 59 votes while his record over five years shows liberal alignment with Hubert Humphrey. Officials dispute the altitude, ranging from 500 to 5,000 feet, while the tip-wings can fold six feet seven inches for storage aboard a carrier.

It ties Capehart Housing Program abuses to mortgage defaults in Colorado, South Carolina, and Texas, and cites excess units at Fort Bliss Medina Base and Chase Field. The Air Force is urged to pursue cost recovery from architects and contractors for project defects, with two million dollars in corrected deficiencies noted.
