In Wilmington Ohio Aug 4 more than 200 Clinton county farmers facing drought hunger urged the county commission to hire them for road work. The board approved $100000 worth of road projects to start immediately and the force was organized under Erakin R Hayes of the Wilmington Automobile club who acted as spokesman. Most tenants were tenant farmers and farm laborers relying on scarce crops and truck gas.

Three burglaries over the weekend in Amarillo yielded nearly $1,000 in cash and goods.
