Additional showers and heavy rains over the North Plains and Northeastern Panhandle were hailed as drought breakers after storms Tuesday night into Wednesday. Rainfall ranged from an inch to more than an inch and a half, with showers spreading from Amarillo southwest to Texico. Cities including Canyon, Hereford, Bovina, Friona, and Farwell reported moisture, while electrical disturbances were noted from Canyon to Bovina.
