Crash Kills Three Near Shamrock in Panhandle
Three persons died and a fourth was critically injured in a head-on crash near Shamrock, Texas, about 6:25 PM. Victims include Ina Mae Schauble and her son Gary Don of Mobeetie, W. W. Barclay of McCook Nebraska, and Clyde Schaubb, husband of Ina Mae, injured. Witnesses say Barclay drove south while Schaubb turned onto the highway from a side street. The Schauble car was hurled 78 feet and rolled. Barclay’s car overturned multiple times. The crash marks the area’s sixth traffic fatality in four days and raises the year’s toll to 24 in the Panhandle.
