Col. Charles A. Lindbergh will depart from Havana on Sunday morning for Cristobal to inaugurate the new seven day air mail service between the United States and Buenos Aires. He will fly overnight via the Caribbean and Honduras, reaching Cristobal by 6 p.m. with a mail cachet from Washington officials.

The Northwest Texas County Hospital faces severe crowding with nurses cramped into small spaces and several staff sleeping in basements or poor quarters. Porter Underwood and Dr. S P Vineyard urge immediate relief, proposing either a bond vote to expand facilities or a city county hospital reorganization. The 1923 24 facility, opened 1924, was built for 75 beds and saw 1923 patients last year including 252 charity cases with Amarillo contributing 98 and the county 110.
President Hoover sent Congress the initial list of public building projects under the March 31 authorization widening construction funds to 568 million over ten years. Included are post offices in Coleman Texas Fort Worth Texas Frederick Oklahoma Gallup New Mexico Houston Texas and Huntsville Texas plus a Houston courthouse project.
Mrs Harriet M Sunday won a divorce in superior court from George Sunday son of evangelist Billy Sunday. She testified he beat her frequented other women and drank to excess with several women corroborating the claims.

The city commission sold four sections for the water plant to H. F. Fuqua for 51 456 in a bid described as a wonderful deal by bidders C. E Willmering and E. R Biggs who failed to win the land The sale included water rights and a restriction to domestic use only The bidders acknowledged the land might fetch less in private sale and Willmering admitted he stretched to bid 40 960
Sheriff Coley White accompanied John W. Brady, indicted for the murder of Miss Lehlia Highsmith, to Dallas where the case was moved on venue. The criminal court date was set for May 5 in Dallas County.
Senator Small of Wellington, after sweeping honors in the Texas Panhandle, declares his bid for governor. He credits his landmark bed tithe law, protecting oil lands for Panhandle owners when state action loomed.
The London naval treaty of 1930 was signed by 27 envoys from five powers in a three hour closing plenary. Prime Minister MacDonald announced the momentous signing as Henry L. Stimson and other delegates prepared to depart for Southampton aboard the Leviathan.
Potter County commissioners postponed hiring an architect to design a new courthouse until today after a busy session with more than a dozen architects presenting qualifications. They stated several qualified candidates exist and expect a difficult decision, with other matters to be discussed in today’s session.

John H. Shary of Mission and president of the Texas Fruit Growers exchange toured Amarillo visiting Moore county oil interests. He says Amarillo could become a strong distributing center and noted his Panhandle farms and Florida grove tour.
President Hoover on April 22 sent the nomination of George P. Harden as post master of Groom Texas to the Senate for confirmation.
