A sheriff's posse dug up the charred body of Henry Stoever on the Dach farm five miles northwest of town. Stoever, 58, a hired man, had been missing weeks after letters claimed to be from him and later alleged bruises and a planned drowning. Mrs. Dach and two men were held for questioning as investigators uncovered a new chicken house over the burial site.

In Roswell on April 18 police detained two women for questioning after a man identified as J. C. Buck 28 was arrested. Buck claimed a Leavenworth counterfeiting term but would not answer further or write his name. A bank robbery description was sent to Muleshoe Texas where a bank robbery occurred last Thursday. Mildred Clark 22 Ponca City Oklahoma said the man was her husband Jack Clark and they married in Ponca City in August 1927. Rosa Lee Phillips 21 who weighs 75 pounds said she was hitchhiking to California when the Clarks offered her a ride and brought her here.

House Adopts Fee Proposal in Texas Legislature
