L B Denning president of Lone Star Gas announces a 900 mile pipeline from the Texas Panhandle to Lincoln Nebraska and to other Nebraska and Iowa cities. Colt Hit by Tornado Destroys Church and Buildings

Amarilloan Spends Weeks and $1000 to Find Lost Pet Ramona
Amarillo resident J Melbin spent eight weeks and about $1000 searching for Ramona the Chihuahua lost near downtown Amarillo on February 26. The dog weighed just over six pounds and was recovered after a long chase in Canyon by the Rio Grande. Ramona, coal black with tan feet, was found after local efforts and a $25 initial reward was raised to $50 as the search intensified. Marcheta Melbin, seven, mourned the loss, later aided by a nurse in constant attendance as Ramona's behavior grew wild in Canyon before the dog was located.

Washington dispatch reports Rep. R Q Lee Democrat Cisco Texas not expected to survive the paralysis attack. He had been ill for five weeks with a relapse last night and doctors say recovery is impossible. Lee, born January 12 1860 at Colwater Mississippi moved to Texas and built a career in ranching banking oil and railroads. He served in the seventy first Congress after being elected in 1928. His wife and children are in Washington.

Excavation Begins on East Third Avenue Subway
City work on a new 1060 foot subway under the Santa Fe rails on East Third Avenue started yesterday. San Antonio hotel robbery nets $1500
A lone bandit robbed a San Antonio hotel today, taking $1500 from a cash register and safe after forcing a guest and four employees to the floor.
